A Greater Cause

Fallen Heroes Fund

Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund was founded to help the families of those men and women who lost their lives serving our nation, and those who have been severely wounded. From 2000 to 2005 the fund provided close to $20 million to these families whose loved ones served in Afghanistan and Iraq.

In January 2007, the Fund was used to create a state-of-the-art rehabilitation center at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio. This center helps those military personnel with rehabilitation after they have been injured or disabled serving our nation.

Kappa Sigma at ULM is dedicated to helping this cause and if you would like to help you can donate yourself using an online donation form. Please visit the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund website at www.fallenheroesfund.org to read more information and to donate.

Kappa Sigma Baseball Team!!!

Baseball 1

For the second year in a row we have sponsored a Little League Baseball team in West Monroe.  We really enjoy taking community service to a new level with creative ideas to serve the area.  We are also planning on sponsoring a Football team with the WOLBFA this upcoming season.

Adopt a Road

Our road is located on Desiard St. in front of campus between Warhawk Way and University Avenue.  We keep our road clean by doing sidewalk walks once every 6 weeks.

Race for the Cure

The Northeast Louisiana Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen For the Cure Foundation hosted their Race for the Cure event in Forsythe Park in Monroe on September 8th, 2007. Many people were attendance to support the cause for breast cancer research. Many ULM organizations were represented at the event whether just volunteering to help or actually participating in the Breast Cancer Walk or 5K run. We were in attendance volunteering for the cause.
