| Theta-Chi Wins National Awards |
|
Matt Malone, Brady Middleton, and Daniel Vanderberg, members of the Theta-Chi Chapter of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity at ULM, attended the Kappa Sigma Western Leadership Conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico from July 18-22. The men gained an invaluable amount of knowledge from workshops on chapter organization, alumni relations, brotherhood development, and public relations. At the conference the chapter received its first two national awards. The Theta-Chi chapter won the Intramural Achievement Award and the Outstanding Campus Involvement Award. This is a great start for our newly installed chapter and sets the tone for our expected success in the future. Congratulations to the men of Kappa Sigma for their successes this past year!!!

2007-2008 All-University Intramural Champions
|
After only being on campus half a year in 2006-2007, Kappa Sigma won all the major intramural sports in the fraternity leauge: Football, Basektball,Softball,Volleyball along with recieving our charter back in December 2006. Now, with a full year of comepeting in the other half of intramurals also, Kappa Sigma brings home the trophy easily.
Intramural Events Won by Kappa Sigma This Year:
- Flag Football- Undefeated Fraternity Leauge Champs, All- University Runner Up
- Basketball- Undefeated Fraternit League Champs, Only loss to All-University Champions
- Soccer- Undefeated Fraternity Leauge Champs, All-University Runner Ups
- Volleyball- Undefeated Fratnity Leauge, Only loss to Fraternity Leauge Champs
- Tennis- All University Champion, 1st -4th
- Horseshoes-All University Champions, 1st -4th
- Ping Pong- All University Champions
- Racquetball- All Univeristy Champions
- Bench Press- 4 guys won their weight class
- Go Karts- All University Champion haha
With former All State Athletes in all sports, Kappa Sigma has a bright future and we plan on winning the trophy every year we compete. | | |
